Savannah's Village

W
Story

As many of you know, Savannah’s partner, Matt, suffered a very serious and unexpected injury from a fall on Sunday, May 17th. He was rushed to the hospital and has since undergone one brain surgery as of 5/20/2026. At this time, Matt remains intubated and in a sedated state. While he is currently stable, there are still many unknowns and no clear timeline for what recovery may look like moving forward. Savannah is an incredibly loving person with a huge heart, two beautiful children, several beloved fur babies, and a business she has worked so hard to build. Right now, her days are being spent being mom and then at the hospital by Matt’s side while trying to process and navigate this overwhelming new reality. After speaking with Savannah, she has decided the best way to communicate updates and organize support is through this page. As updates become available, they will be shared here. Opportunities to help, support needs, and any financial assistance options for the family will also be posted through this portal moving forward. The outpour of her village is beautiful and plentiful, thank you 🙏🏼💗 For the next month, as their custody agreement is, the children will be staying with their father. This will also allow Savannah time to focus on supporting Matt and managing the many unknowns ahead while also doing her best to keep her business afloat. Savannah also wants everyone to know how deeply grateful she is for the love, prayers, messages, and offers to bring food. At this time, stress and exhaustion have made it difficult for her to have much of an appetite, and her biggest concern is not wanting anyone to spend money or effort on meals she may not be able to eat. The amount of love and support this community has shown since Sunday has touched her more than words can express. It has given her strength during one of the hardest moments of her life. This journey is going to be long, emotional, and difficult, and continued support as this “new normal” unfolds will mean more than ever. After this first month, the children will return home to Savannah for one month as well as part of the summer vacation. During that time, support with childcare, meal prep, errands, and other day-to-day help will be greatly appreciated and warmly welcomed. Thank you all for continuing to surround Savannah, Matt, and their family with love, patience, prayers, and support during this incredibly difficult time.

Special Notes

This family has very healthy eating habits and are very mindful of the food that goes into their body! So they just ask to please be mindful if sending or cooking food !
