Hello. On thursday (1/15/25) my husband started to have a pain in his chest that then moved down to his right side. He tried laying in bed to try and wait out the pain. By Friday (1/16/25) afternoon he was in so much pain. I took him up to the ER. They diganosed him with appendicitis and admitted him for surgery on saturday (1/17/25). Sometime between being admitted and his surgery time his appendix burst. Dr originally went in with small incisions (keyhole), but quickly discovered that he would have to open my husband up fully. Not only did his appendix burst, it was leaking infection and stool into him. Along with this they found a hole in his gallbladder they repaired as well as a cyst that they removed. My husband is still admitted to the hospital and looking like he will be for awhile. He had a previous surgery in December that I had to take off work for. I have just gotten back to work when this happened. I have people who can watch our kids and dogs while I travel back and forth to the hospital to see him and help take care of anything he needs me to discuss with the nurses and doctors. If anyone could help with some meals for my kids during this time I would be forever greatful and will pay it forward as soon as I am able.
Please no sea food, and nothing too spicy. My youngest 2 do not like mushrooms or onions. My oldest does like some spice with some things. But other than that we are not too picky of a family.
