155 days ago I was told that my son probably wasn't going to make it 9 hours of surgery with all hands on deck. I was told to start getting my affairs in order because we dont think hes gonna make it through the night.the next day emergency surgery. He's lost to much blood. We did what we could, you need to start preparing, we dont see him making it through the next 3 to 5 days but we are gonna keep him sedated so hes comfortable... this is what I was told, but Hayden kept sticking around after countless surgeries. And set back after set back, pneumonia, infection in his leg infection in his lungs infection in his arm. Rupture spline collapsed lungs broken right knee amputated left leg to the hip broken colar bone completely detached left shoulder. Broken left wrist. All of his chest tubes crushed clogged arteries. Brain swelling the had to remove half of his skull to allow swelling. Im sure im forgetting something. But after all of that, 155 days ago, my Son is coming home for the first time, since his accident. He still has mountains to climb and tons of healing and physical therapy. And a hard painful road ahead of him. But he never gave up and hes working to get better every day. I want to thank everyone for the thoughts and prayers and please keep them flowing for Hayden. I want to thank memorial Herman and TIRR FOR all the hard work . But most of all I want to thank Kira Huffman for being there for Hayden every step of the way. None of this would even be possible if it weren't for her. The love you and Hayden Hill have for each other is rare. And I wish I could give you the world kira because you deserve it.
