As many of you know, over the past two years our dear colleague and friend Lucia and her family have been courageously navigating a long and difficult journey as her husband, Vern, battled serious health challenges. With great sadness, we share that Vern has recently passed away. Lucia has shown remarkable strength and grace throughout this time, and our hearts go out to her and her two beautiful daughters, Viviana and Amara, as they face this heartbreaking loss. Viviana and Amara are full of light and laughter. These two are true “girly girls” who love all things princesses, unicorns, and fun. Viviana is especially creative; she loves to draw, color, and make bracelets. Amara absolutely loves anything and everything pink from her clothes to her toys to the way she decorates her world. As Lucia and her family take time to heal, many have asked how they can help. Meals, gift cards, and words of encouragement are deeply appreciated as they navigate the weeks ahead. These thoughtful gestures will help ease some of the day-to-day burdens and remind Lucia that she and her girls are surrounded by love and support.
