Lael’s Strong & Steady Recovery Circle

Story

💗 The Five-Day Pause On February 27, Lael will step into surgery with courage, prayer, and that steady strength we all know so well. The procedure will go smoothly. The real challenge comes after. Her doctor has given one clear instruction: Five full days completely weight free on her foot. No “just a quick step.” No “I’ll be fine.” No rearranging chairs, answering the door, or checking on everyone else. And if you know Lael, you know this may be the hardest assignment of all. She is the one who moves. She is the one who shows up. She is the one who carries. So this recovery window is not just about healing a foot. It is about helping her rest. For five days, from February 29 through March 5, she must stay off her feet between 10 AM and 3 PM each day. That is where we come in. This is not a crowd. It is a circle. A circle that brings high-protein snacks to help her body rebuild. A circle that sits quietly for an hour or two so she is not tempted to “just get up.” A circle that speaks encouragement when patience runs thin. Because let’s be honest. The woman who can lead through a storm will absolutely try to reorganize a closet on crutches. This sign-up is how we protect her healing. It gives structure so she has steady coverage, calm presence, and loving accountability. We are not just filling time slots. We are guarding her recovery. For five days, we help her stay still so she can come back strong. And when she wants to hop up and do “just one thing,” we smile and remind her, “This is your assignment. We’ve got you.”
