Freddie Streeter, our longtime friend from church, has been in the hospital since mid-July and is scheduled to be discharged home on Thursday, August 27th. It will take a few days to get his home care services fully set up, so we're pulling together support from his church family to help bridge that gap. What we're NOT asking for: medical or nursing care. What we ARE asking for: a friendly daily visit — someone to lay eyes on Freddie, see how he's settling in, and check in on things like: - Is he managing his daily care tasks okay, or does he need a hand? - Does he need groceries picked up or a meal dropped off? - Could his space use some light tidying? - Would he like company for a short walk around his property to help rebuild his strength? Even a 20–30 minute visit each day makes a big difference — both for Freddie's safety and for his spirits as he adjusts to being back home. If you can sign up for a day (or a few!), please add your name to the calendar below. After each visit, a quick note back to the group on how he's doing would help us all stay coordinated and catch anything he needs before it becomes a bigger problem. Thank you for helping Freddie during this season!
Individially portioned meals are best. Freddie lives in an apartment building. You can pick up a key card for front door entry at the church.
