A subchorionic hemorrhage is a small collection of blood that forms between the uterine wall and the pregnancy. It’s one of the most common causes of bleeding in early pregnancy and happens when a small area near the placenta bleeds. In most cases, especially when the baby has a strong heartbeat, everything turns out okay. Many hemorrhages reabsorb or resolve on their own with rest and monitoring. Jay is currently on bed rest to help it heal for at least a week, and baby has a strong heartbeat, which is a very reassuring sign 💜
