Helping Care for Someone Who Is Always Caring for Others ❤️ If you know Patti, you know that she is one of those rare people who is always thinking about others. Whether she is bringing someone a meal, dropping off a thoughtful gift, baking treats, checking in on a friend, or simply finding a way to make someone’s day a little brighter, Patti has spent countless years caring for the people around her. Even after retiring from teaching, she continues to give so much of herself by coming back to our district to sub in both long- and short-term positions. She is truly one of the kindest, most generous people I know—and giving to others is simply who she is. Now, it’s our turn to care for Patti. ❤️ Patti was recently diagnosed with leiomyosarcoma, a rare type of soft tissue cancer, and will undergo Whipple surgery on October 14th. Her recovery will be lengthy, and I would love for us to surround Patti and JC with the same kindness and generosity that Patti has shown so many of us over the years. One small way we can help is by providing meals for them during the weeks following her surgery, giving them one less thing to worry about as Patti focuses on healing. Patti has spent so much of her life taking care of others. Let’s take care of her now. ❤️ Thank you for helping support two very special people during this challenging time. Every meal, gift card, thoughtful note, or gesture of kindness will mean more than you know.
