Story

🌟 Team Templeton: Support for Zoe!🌟 In our close-knit community at The Goddard School, we are coming together to support one of our own as they face an unimaginable challenge. The Templeton family learned their sweet, silly, fun 13-month-old Zoe has been diagnosed with Wilm’s Tumor, a type of kidney cancer. This brave little warrior will undergo weekly chemotherapy treatments for the coming months as well as surgery to remove the tumors found in both her kidneys. As this amazing family begins this journey to brighter days, we have the opportunity to surround them in our love, kindness, and support. We are asking our incredible community of families to rally around them, offering comfort, encouragement, and practical help to ease their burden and allow for time together focused on healing and recovering. 🎁 Ways to Show Your Love and Support: 1. Kind Words, Encouragement, Prayers, and Positive Thought: Your messages of hope and strength can make a world of difference. Leave a comment with words of encouragement, offer a loving message, or share a prayer/positive message for their little warrior. 2. Gifts That Bring Comfort and Ease: - Door Dash Gift Cards: Help the Templetons ease the burden of the daily questions, what’s for dinner? Provide nourishing meals with a meal service gift card, restaurant gift card for an evening out, or a convenient meal delivery with Door Dash/Grub Hub/Uber Eats. These gifts will allow the family to focus on being together without the added burden of worrying about cooking. - Home Services Gift Cards (Hampr, Task Rabbit, Thumbtack): Assist with household tasks and errands by sending gift cards for home services. This will give the family more time to care for their little one and their older sibling, a student in our preschool program. - Gifts for Big Sister: While Zoe begins treatment her big sister, Hailey, will need a little extra love as she works to navigate changes in routine while supporting her favorite playmate and best friend. We are asking for support for Hailey in the form of games, activities, crafts, and comfort items. Our hope is that these items will keep her company and engaged during the times her family and sister are away for treatment or recovering at home. - Comfort Items/Toys for a 13-Month-Old: Any comfort items, toys, games, and crafts to bring joy, distraction and solace to Zoe throughout their treatment and recovery. 💕 A Message from The Goddard School We are so grateful to be part of such a loving and supportive community. Together, we can wrap this family in the warmth of our collective strength and show them that they are not alone. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and unwavering support. 🌈 Let's Show Them the Power of Our Community Every gesture, big or small, will make a significant impact on their journey. Let's fill their days with love, hope, and the knowledge that they have an entire community standing with them. Together, we can make a difference, offer support, ease the daily burdens, and provide the invaluable gift of effortless time together. Let's come together around this family and show them the true meaning of community.

Special Notes

For anyone thinking of helping with the meal train in the calendar, we have a nut allergy here. Biggest thanks to all for your support of Zoe. She has a journey ahead but she’s got this!
