Right now, helping means supporting the effort to get this house built. But building the house is only part of what Hunter and Hanley will need. Hunter has needs today, and there will be new ones as construction progresses. This page will serve as an ongoing home base where we can add those needs as they arise, from positioning pillows and soft, comfortable clothing for care, to accessible technology, equipment, furnishings, and eventually everything needed to turn a newly built house into a comfortable, functional home. Some needs may cost thousands of dollars. Others may be a $20 item that makes Hunter’s day considerably more comfortable. Both matter. We’ll continue updating this page throughout the build so no one has to wonder how to help or what is currently needed. You’ll be able to follow the progress of the house, see new needs as they’re identified, and choose whatever way of supporting Hunter and Hanley feels right for you. This is more than a construction project. It’s a chance to build a home around Hunter: his comfort, his independence, the things he loves and the people who love him. Please check the wish list before purchasing gift cards or larger items, some needs get fulfilled quickly and we try to keep it current.
