If you've ever had the privilege of knowing Kate, you know that she has dedicated her life to helping others. As a teacher, tutor, master's student, and trusted safe place for so many children, Kate has spent countless hours pouring her energy, compassion, and encouragement into the people around her. A few weeks ago, Kate's life changed unexpectedly when she was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS), a rare autoimmune neurological disorder in which the immune system attacks the peripheral nerves. What began as a medical emergency led to two weeks in the hospital followed by two more weeks in an inpatient rehabilitation center. After a month away from home fighting to regain her strength and independence, Kate will finally be returning home on June 12th. While this is a huge milestone, her recovery is far from over. She is still unable to walk independently and faces many daily challenges that most of us take for granted, like preparing meals, running errands, and managing household tasks. As Kate continues the hard work of rehabilitation, we'd love to help ease some of the stress of day to day living so she can focus her energy where it's needed most. Healing. This meal train is one small way we can give back to someone who has given so much to others. Whether you're able to provide a meal, send a gift card, help with groceries, or simply share words of encouragement, every act of kindness will make a meaningful difference. Thank you for helping us welcome Kate home and surround her with the same care, generosity, and support she has always provided to others. Let's help carry the load while Kate focuses on taking her next steps forward.
