Earlier this spring, Britny tore multiple tendons in her right foot/ankle in a freak incident. After seeing multiple health care professionals, including urgent and emergency care, as well as various orthopedic professionals, it was determined that surgery was most likely necessary; however, physical therapy had to be completed first in order to satisfy insurance. After roughly a month of PT, Britny has officially been given a surgery date - Wednesday, July 30. While the official scheduling of surgery is a positive move forward in her recovery, it's been a long, hard few months of limited mobility, inability to work consistently, and draining savings and resources. This site is being put together to keep everyone updated, as well as ask for support as Britny takes on ankle surgery and all of the changes and challenges that come with it.
