Surgery Support for Erin

Lancaster, CA

Story

Erin will be having a major surgery on September 15th. (Full story below!) Often times we say "let me know how I can help", but the truth is, it's tough to ask for help or even know what to ask for! "Give in Kind" is a great tool for offering help however you can! Here are a few ways: 1) Bills/ financial stress: This is the toughest one to ask for, but the most needed. Just a few weeks ago, their house got a leak under a slab that resulted in a total re-pipe for the house. Any money that Erin had saved up for September had to be used for the construction, and it has created a huge financial stress. She's been praying faithfully for God's help, so I am hoping we can bring her an answer to that prayer. There's a spot on this page to help financially via Venmo that goes straight to her. If you feel like answering the prayer for financial help, this is the best way to do so. Even $5-$10 goes a LONG way! 2) Help with food deliveries such as groceries, dinners, and food delivery gift cards: Knowing Erin, she will try to get up Day 1 and cook a full-blown meal. Help me stop her from doing too much by signing up for a dinner slot! 3) Cleaning assistance: help support house-cleaning efforts by funding "Mommy's Little Helper" cleaning company. She is a local, trusted friend of Erin's. Venmo-ing a few bucks to Erin is the best way to help fund this, but VISA Gift Cards will also work just fine! 4) Other gift cards: as the kids start back to school, two of the kids have upcoming birthdays, and Erin herself has a birthday, gift cards are another incredible way to help. I've picked out a few for her which you can view under WishList. The backstory: Erin has been battling many health-related issues for a while now. 4 months ago, she went to the hospital for a kidney stone and infection. The doctors were surprised to find a concerning mass in her abdomen. They cannot biopsy it because of its location in her body, so the details are a little unknown. After consulting with an oncologist, they have decided that she will need surgery to remove this mass. This surgery is scheduled for Friday, September 15th. Erin will be in the hospital for a few days, and then she is on strict bed rest for roughly a month after that. This will not be easy for our busy, fun-loving friend. But hopefully a team effort will encourage her to rest as long as she can! Thank you so much for your help and support of this incredible person!
