Hello, My name is Jenn, my girlfriend and I are currently experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles, and the rise in temperature as well as the heatwaves are a serious concern for me due to my medical condition—I have a brain tumor that causes me to have extreme heat sensitivity,heat exposure is dangerous for me .I have already had several hospital trips this last month and every time I do not know if it will be the last. We are in desperate need of assistance to secure a safe place to stay, even if it's just for a few nights, to protect my health and provide us with some relief. Our Situation We both lost our jobs during the pandemic and soon after I lost my house,since then we have been struggling to find stable housing resorting to living outdoors and currently sleep on the front porch of a relative , but with the temperatures rising, our situation has become increasingly perilous. The streets are no place for anyone, let alone someone with my health issues. We are seeking funds to cover the cost of a motel stay, which would provide us with shelter, safety, and a chance to regroup.We also desperately need help with food/water.
