Hi everyone, I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who helped bring Makayla back to the United States and supported her in getting the care she needed. The love, generosity, and support from so many people have meant more than words can express. Makayla is now back home after her stay at Sacred Heart and undergoing surgery. She is recovering well, but her day-to-day life looks a little different right now. She remains non-weight-bearing on her left side and will be relying on a wheelchair for mobility and transfers. Because of these limitations, preparing meals and managing everyday tasks can be challenging. To help lighten the load during her recovery, I’ve created this meal sign-up for anyone who would like to continue supporting Makayla.
