In August 2025 my doctor found cancer during a regularly scheduled procedure in my esophagus. Further testing indicates that it is neuroendocrine carcinoma with small cell features. This is an incredibly rare, aggressive, fast growing, and currently incurable cancer. While I hope to one day say I am NED (No Evidence of Disease), for now, we fight. I completed 4 rounds of carboplatin/etopiside chemo combo along with 28 days of radiation in fall of 2025. Currently, I am on monthly treatments of immunotherapy, and will be on if for as long as my body responds well to it.
