Hi friends, Mary here. You probably already know that I was recently denied re-entry into the United States after a birthday-fun trip to Canada. I am still in the process of figuring out my next steps and how to get back home, but these things can take a dreadful amount of time. While I am away, life in Missoula keeps moving and our dog pack (who many of you know and love) still needs lots of care, exercise, and attention, and that task is feeling too large for one person (Key) to handle alone. So we’re looking for dog-loving friends who might be willing and able to lend a hand with the pups! It would make a huge difference for us and would take some of the weight off Key while I’m away. Key works 12-hour shifts Monday-Wednesday, and those days we could use the most help. Finch (our gazelle) usually goes to work with Key, but Kite (our goofball) used to stay home or go to the office with me. Without me there, he could use a buddy to break up those long days. If you have some free time between 10a and 5p on a Mon, Tues, or Wed, Kite would LOVE to spend some time with you. There’s no need to take up the whole day, even an hour or so helps! Kite is very easy to entertain. He’ll happily join you for a hike, trail run, neighborhood walk, dog park outing, or pretty much any other adventure on or off leash. He’s also a fantastic office dog if you’d rather just bring him along for the ride. He loves other dogs, too, so if you already have a pup who needs an outing, Kite is more than happy to tag along! We did not forget about Dipper (tiny and beloved WBIO mascot). He doesn’t necessarily need the extra care (he can tag along with Finch or Kite any day), but he can absolutely be added to your adventure upon request ;) These have been grueling weeks, but like one of you said, the vastness of a community shines brightest during these sh!t times, and we are blown away by how our community has shown up.
