Supporting the Bristols

W
Story

Please join us in supporting Kyle and Justine Bristol and their family as they navigate this challenging medical time. Kyle was born with a genetic disorder called NF1 (Neurofibromatosis Type 1). Thankfully, until recently, NF1 had not significantly affected his health. After Kyle began experiencing several health concerns, his doctor ordered an MRI, which revealed a large mass at the base of his skull. The initial approach was to monitor the mass closely, with a repeat MRI scheduled three months later. Unfortunately, that follow-up scan showed that the mass had grown. At this point, the decision was made to proceed with surgery to remove the mass and have it biopsied. The results will help his doctors better understand what they are dealing with and determine the appropriate next steps for Kyle’s treatment and recovery. This will be a significant surgery and recovery period for Kyle and his family. During this time, we would love to surround them with the practical support of meals, allowing them to focus their time and energy on Kyle’s healing and on being together as a family. Kyle is expected to come home from the hospital on the afternoon of October 7, so we would especially love to have a meal ready for the family to enjoy that evening as they settle back in at home. Thank you again for all the kindness, prayers, love, and support you have shown Kyle and his family. They have shared how deeply grateful they are for the incredible outpouring of support. Every meal, message, prayer, and thoughtful gesture has meant more to them than words can express. ❤️

Special Notes

The Bristols are a meat-and-potatoes kind of family, so simple, hearty comfort meals are always a great choice. Pasta and pizza are also big hits! Pepperoni is a favorite, as are other pizzas that offer a white-sauce option for Justine. Please keep the following allergies and preferences in mind: * Justine has allergies to citrus, including lemon, lime, orange, and grapefruit. * Justine also cannot have jarred tomato sauce. * Please avoid onions and peppers in meals whenever possible. Meals can be homemade, takeout, delivery, or a restaurant gift card—whatever is easiest for you. There is no need to make anything elaborate. A simple, comforting meal can make a meaningful difference during a difficult time. Drop-off times are flexible, and any coordination can be made directly with the family.
