If you know Sue, you know this. She shows up fully, wholeheartedly, and without hesitation. She is the kind of friend who is all in. No shortcuts, no half effort. When you are in her life, you feel it. You are supported, cared for, and never alone. I have experienced that kind of friendship from Sue, and now it is our turn to show up for her. Sue is an avid runner and athlete. Running is not just an exercise for her. It is how she clears her mind, processes the world, and finds joy. But for a while now, that joy has been overshadowed by pain. After trying everything she could to heal, Sue made the brave and thoughtful decision with her surgeon to move forward with back surgery. Recovery will not be easy. It will take time, patience, and a lot of support. That is where we come in. Let’s remind Sue that just as she has always had our backs, we have hers, too. Literally. This is our chance to surround her with that same love and care as she works her way back to doing what she loves most.
