Meal Train for Amanda

Story

Hi All. Thank you all for you messages of support over the last month+. Today marks day 1 (Jan 2, 2026) of Amandas chemotherapy treatment for Hodgkins Lymphoma. It has been a very emotional, intense, difficult and busy few weeks for Amanda and our family. But we are extremely grateful to be nearby, to be at MSK, and to be surrounded by loving community. We are confident that Amanda will get through this. Amanda will have 6 months of treatment, with chemo infusions every two weeks. Chemo days are long - today she was in NYC with my Mom, Danielle and her boyfriend from 9am to 6pm. After this session, it will mostly be just our Mom as Amanda's chemo-buddy... with Andrew, Jaime & Christina helping in between. So we're asking for some support predominantly for them and, most importantly, on chemo days. Dog walking for my Mom would also be another huge support. Amanda has been staying between our Mom's house and Jaime's house. In October, Amanda and her boyfriend Andrew packed up her car and all her belongings and drove for 2 weeks across the country to Bend, Oregon. She had just settled in for about a week there when she flew back to NY for a work trip. It was that trip back here that lead us to this point. Amanda hasn't been able to sleep in 2+ months. She wakes up every night with severe hip pain, which is how she finally ended up in the ER the week before Thanksgiving. Amongst other things, that is where they finally discovered she has bone marrow lesions likely causing the pain. She is suffering from shortness of breath and other discomforts. If you have anything to share for support in these areas please do!

Special Notes

Amanda is vegetarian. And we're trying to provide her with the most nourishing meals possible to support her healing. We're grateful for any support you can provide.
