About the Baileys To know Brad, Kim, Brynn, Brady, and Brooklyn is truly to love them. They are a family widely known for their smiles, generosity, service, and deep involvement in their community, government, church, and their children’s lives. They are the kind of people who open their home, share meals, give freely of their time, and show up for others. Now, they find themselves in need of that same compassion and support—a place many of us know requires humility and trust to accept. The Fire Early Saturday morning, their home was tragically damaged by a fire. Thanks to the quick action of a neighbor who noticed smoke, the family was safely evacuated with only the clothes they were wearing and a purse. One vehicle was saved; however, the garage and their large family vehicle were lost, and the home and its contents suffered extensive smoke damage. While we are deeply grateful that the family is safe and unharmed, they have been suddenly displaced from their place of comfort and familiarity. At this time, many of their belongings are not usable and cannot be removed until they can be professionally cleaned or replaced, as nearly everything is covered in soot and carries the smell of ashes. Beyond Insurance While insurance will assist with financial recovery, there are many immediate needs it cannot provide—time, convenience, peace of mind, and the everyday essentials that allow a family to function while restoring their home and creating a temporary place of comfort. At the same time, Kim and Brad are working diligently with numerous professionals, making many difficult decisions regarding their home and belongings, while striving to maintain their commitments and responsibilities and to keep their children’s lives as normal as possible. These demands make it especially challenging to respond to calls, messages, and requests. Faith and Perspective Even in the midst of this season, the Baileys continue to move forward with faith, perspective, and gratitude. In Kim’s recent New Year reflection, she shared how life does not always unfold in neat or predictable ways, but that we can choose to remain steady and hopeful in the middle of the storm—trusting that we are surrounded by people we love and by a God who works all things for good. That same spirit now guides their journey into 2026, believing that even through loss and uncertainty, God will continue to bring purpose, strength, and restoration. How You Can Help We know many have asked how they may help, and this page exists for that very purpose. It is intended to serve as a central, respectful place where support can be offered in a way that is both meaningful and easy for the family to receive—without pressure or expectation. This is not a fundraiser, and they are not seeking donations. Rather, it is a space created by those who love them, allowing others to extend kindness, care, and practical assistance during this challenging season. Thank You Thank you for surrounding this remarkable family with compassion, generosity, prayers, and love. Every act of kindness, every prayer, and every thoughtful word—no matter the size—serves as a reminder that they do not walk this road alone.
Because of dietary restrictions and allergies, the most helpful support at this time includes: Gift cards to trusted and familiar establishments: H-E-B and Trader Joe's Grocery Stores. Black Walnut, The Republic Grille, Dosey Doe Coffee, El Chapparo Mexican Bar & Grill, Goode Co. Kitchen & Cantina or Fish Camp, Crust Pizza, Chick-fil-a, Uni Sushi, Pappasito's Cantina or Pappadeaux, Local Table Shogun Hibachi and Chiller Bee. Thoughtfully selected items the family and children may need while transitioning into a temporary home or a gift card to any local places where toiletries, bedding, groceries and clothing items can be purchased. More than anything, these gestures provide what insurance alone cannot: peace of mind, a sense of being supported by community, family, and friends, and the ability to focus on their children, healing and rebuilding.
