Jenny Dee’s Recovery Crew

Bryn Mawr, PA

Story

Jenny, her husband Paul, and their two girls, Lydia and Chloe, are like family to Brian and me. This past year has been a challenging one for the Dee family. At the end of January, Jenny will be undergoing a double mastectomy. After a long year that included multiple biopsies and two lumpectomies, this procedure has been recommended as the best way to help prevent breast cancer in the future. At the same time, Paul has been dealing with his own health concerns and is temporarily unable to drive, which adds extra challenges to their daily lives. We’re organizing this Meal Train and Care Calendar to help support the Dee family during Jenny’s recovery. Meals, groceries, transportation and small acts of kindness will go a long way in lifting their spirits and lightening their load during this time. Thank you for helping us care for a family that means so much to us!

Special Notes

Please note that the needs of the family will be evolving! While we can send out emails as things change or pop up, it would be great if you would check back regularly. If you want to help but aren't exactly sure what would be most helpful, here is a list of ideas! *Meals from Aneu Kitchen: https://aneukitchens.com/our-kitchens/#brynmawr *Salon Visits - A gift card to her favorite hair salon would be amazing as she won't be able to wash her hair alone! *if you can also help with transportation that would also appreciated! Sage and Rose is located in Ardmore. https://www.sageandrosesalon.com *Laundry Service- A gift card for this laundry service would be a huge help! https://lessentheloads.com/ *Something to do to keep her busy! Jenny would love to work on book nook puzzles during her recovery. There are many options which can be found on Amazon. The Japanese kits would be especially cheerful for her as a reminder of her study abroad days. The link is below if you would like to send her one! https://www.amazon.com/sk=kyoto+gion+book+nook+kit&crid=3EO3I1ZLDOIKK&sprefix=kyot%2Caps%2C212&ref=nb_sb_ss_p13n-expert-pd-ops-ranker_1_4 *A simple note of encouragement would always be appreciated. *Prayers and all the good vibes welcomed!
