Support for Currie & Family-Hernia Surgery

Story

Dear Friends and Family, I wanted to share that I will be undergoing laparoscopic ventral hernia repair robotic surgery on October 16. This minimally invasive procedure will help address my hernia and I am hoping to have a relatively quick recovery time. During this period, Nick and I will appreciate any support you can offer, especially with meals and caring for the twins. To help us through this time, we’re organizing a meal train to provide ready-to-eat meals, which will be incredibly helpful as I recover. If you're able to contribute, please let me know. Your support means so much to us! Thank you for being there for our family.

Special Notes

Explanation of surgery ; Robotic laparoscopic surgery for hernia repair involves using a robotic system to assist surgeons in performing minimally invasive surgery. During the procedure, small incisions are made in the abdomen, and a camera (laparoscope) and robotic instruments are inserted. The surgeon controls the robotic arms from a console, allowing for precise movements and enhanced visualization. This technique results in less pain, quicker recovery, and reduced scarring compared to traditional open surgery. The robotic system aids in accurately placing mesh to reinforce the abdominal wall and repair the hernia.
