For those of you just finding out: On June 30th, 2025, while on vacation, Mom and her beloved husband Rick were involved in a tragic front-end collision. Rick sadly passed away that same day due to the severity of his injuries. Please keep Rick’s daughter, Angela, and his son, Wayne, in your prayers as they grieve the loss of their beloved father. Mom is now on a journey of healing — not only physically, but profoundly emotionally as well. We appreciate your prayers, love, and support as she navigates this incredibly difficult time. Although Mom never legally changed her name (the paperwork is such a hassle!), she deeply loved Rick Priddy and chooses to carry on his name in every way she can. Whenever possible, she prefers to go by Nancy Priddy — and it brings her joy when others use that name too.
Hello to all of our wonderful and thoughtful friends, We are truly overwhelmed with gratitude for the love, prayers, and support you’ve shown our family. Your kindness means the world to us as we work to keep Mom as healthy and comfortable as possible. PLAN: Our plan is to take Mom back to Waco to Katie's house for her recovery. Katie is quitting her job to be full-time caregiver. Katie and the kids are moving back to Waco for this season. We know all of you have offered to help, and we are so grateful. We are asking for people to come be a second pair of hands for Katie. If you come as a helper, please be able to help lift/transfer Mom. If you want to come and be a visitor, that is also a need and we are so glad to have you come. VISITS: Mom cannot wait to spend time with you! We've scheduled dedicated rest periods for her, as well as time for PT, so if your visit bumps up against one of those times, we kindly ask that you honor it — otherwise, we might kick you out! 🤣 OVERNIGHT STAYS: Mom owns a house just next to Katie’s: a 2 bed/2 bath space that’s available for guests. Anyone is welcome to stay! That said, we’re not able to manage the kitchen, laundry, or general housekeeping for the space. If you’d like to stay, please note: Mark your visit on the calendar (arrival/departure, number of bedrooms needed) Bring anything personal you may need Please tidy up before you leave We’ll have extra linens on hand and will keep them in rotation to make things as easy as possible.
