(Taken from the Gofundme page set up by Taylor Wells) Hello, My name is Taylor. My cousin Payton, was involved in a serious motorcycle accident on Fathers Day. He was immediately taken to the hospital, intubated, and had emergency life saving surgery. He has been in the Mercy Neuro Trauma ICU ever since, continuing to fight for his life. He’s had to have another surgery to remove several of the damaged organs. He is now dealing with a serious infection and may be facing another surgery. He remains in critical condition. He also has multiple fractures in his hip bone, meaning he will have to have surgery on that as well once he’s stable enough to do so. After this surgery, he will be non-weight bearing for 6-8 weeks, and will have to have extensive rehab following. Payton is going to have a long recovery ahead of him. He will be off of work for the unforeseeable future. This fundraiser is to help him with medical bills and other expenses. Payton’s parents have been by his side the whole time, and have been receiving tons of support. Unfortunately, no other visitors are allowed in to see him, but he’s allowed to receive cards, etc (no flowers). We really appreciate the outpouring of love, thoughts, and prayers!
