For Our Friend Elaine

Tucson, AZ

Story

Hello and Welcome As you know, our friend Elaine is now dealing with the challenge of getting used to a new routine at home without Karl. He prepared her lunch for work every day and usually had her dinner ready for her when she got home. During this difficult time, we invite you to participate in a food train to help take some of the burden off in dealing with her loss and with her transition back to work for the next couple of weeks. Below there is a calendar that starts this week and shows a lunch and dinner option for each work day, as well as weekend options. To prevent duplication, please use this calendar to "claim" a meal so that we all know what meals are covered and which are still needed. Once a meal is "Claimed", it will not be available to choose from by others. Meals still available will have a blue "Claim" button next to them. Currently, dates to choose from are Thursday Oct 24 through Sunday Nov 3. Instructions: to select from a date listed below, please click the blue "Claim" button. A popup will give you the option to type any notes or what you plan to bring (this is optional). Bubble "I'll provide myself" and then click "Claim Item." You can go back to edit these selections or "Unclaim" if anything changes. On this page you will also see a button for PayPal donations. If cooking isn't your thing or you don't know what to make, please feel free to use this option. All funds will be used to purchase ready-made meals and gift cards to her favorite restaurants. Any amount is appreciated. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Sylvia or Gloria.

Special Notes

- Elaine has no food allergies and prefers a low sodium diet and nothing too greasy or spicy - We will ensure all food containers/dishes are returned to their owners, or please consider using disposable containers - She will safely transport all items home in an insulated bag with temperature control - Weekend meals should be brought in on Friday
