As you know, Karen had to say goodbye before she was ready to her beloved mother Josephine in the early morning hours of Monday, August 16th. She has been her mother's primary caregiver during the past many years, and her mother in turn has been a great support for Karen during the times when she works many hours as a nurse in helping care for Karen's teenage son, Van.
