Brianna’s Village

Story

Village Hello Family and Friends❤️ As most of you already know, we have had quite a last 2 years! Having twins and everything that comes along with it is very challenging! Carrying one child is hard enough on a woman’s body, but TWO is a whole different level… as I have learned! After multiple surgeries since the delivery of the twins, I’ve yet to have 2 more on July 27th. I will be having a complete hysterectomy with removal of the ovaries and also having a bladder sling. Both surgeries will only require 1 nights stay at hospital, but lots of rest and healing for 6-8 weeks! During this time, I am not even allowed to lift my (almost) 2 year old twins! Life is going to be very difficult for me in so many ways… but not being able to pick up my babies and Amara is going to be the hardest!! Asking for help has not ever been easy for me to do. I’m always the one who would rather help others! But I KNOW I’m going to need help, especially now that I have 3 children! I just learned about this site (thank you Jackie) and thought it would be a more organized way to get and ask for help after my surgeries. The last few months have been a whirlwind of changes and challenges in our lives and I just do not want my kids to suffer or have a bad summer because I’m laid up! I also don’t want to do what I normally do and push myself into more health concerns if I don’t fully rest and heal properly. Friends and family have offered to help me with whatever they can and keep asking what they can do. Beaver is taking a few days off to help me and kids, but has to get back to work ASAP. And even though we have Uncle Billy and Carole, there’s only so much they can help take on. Entertaining kids, meal prep/feedings, stopping by to play, take them on walks or swim in our little pool, play games and even some light cleaning would really help. Maybe even have my close peeps (like you guys) come by for a few hours here and there! The more things they can do/see/play/learn besides TV while I’m healing! Even if it’s donating an old toy/book your kids no longer play with will really help keep them distracted! Mostly ALL of the kids belongings were contaminated in our old house and left there along with almost everything we had inside our house. So pretty much everything we have here in our new home has been bought in the last few months. I feel honored and grateful to have such wonderful people in my life! Friends and family have supported me tremendously over the last few years and for that, I am eternally grateful! Ever since I first found out I was pregnant with twins, life has been challenging. My doctor even told me at our first Twin pregnancy appointment that “it takes a village”… well seems that for a short time, I’m going to need like 3 villages! Lol (but seriously). I kindly thank each and everyone of you for your continued support and help during our journey! Can’t wait to be and feel myself again….
