On January 17th, Marc and Esther's 17-year-old son, Griffin was rushed to the ER with sudden pains in his abdomen.  Marc was told that Griffin may have burst his appendix and the matter was urgent.  Later a CT scan revealed that his appendix was fine, but an enormous tumor, 6 inches in diameter, was on his liver.  Griffin was taken to Children's Hospital in LA where surgeons took a biopsy, as well as removed the giant tumor and half of his liver.  Days later, biopsy results indicated that Griffin has a rare form of liver cancer, and that chemo would be needed.

This page was created to come alongside the Elmers, as they support Griffin and adjust to this new development in their lives. It is a place where you can receive updates on how Griffin is doing, as well as offer ways to help.
