Our hearts are broken… but God knew Emma’s place in heaven was ready he needed our sweet angel there to do what angels do. He knew our hearts weren’t ready But for her sweet body time was due For our sweet Emma to fly high wild and free She has angel work to do. But first she’ll be greeted by grandma And spend time loving on her lap. She’ll skip on clouds and run though the pearly gates And see Jesus and our makers face. And then peacefully take a nap. When she wakes her heavenly body will be whole She will be free of limitation And then her wings will grow She’ll fly down to check on mama, on daddy, max Anma and pappy too She will let them know she’s here with them with an energetic hug or two… Then when they are wearily a feather will appear, letting them all know their sweet angel child is near She was loved so dearly, she was just content, To be held and sang to and loved on, by each and every one of you. Patty cake was her favorite and sometimes peekaboo. Such an innocent simplistic life She loved all that she knew But now the time has come to say good bye Sweet baby we will see you soon You will greet us at the pearly gates Running jumping and playing all the things that here you couldn’t do But that heart, that smile that laughter, we will hear in our memories. It will get us through the hard days. But we will celebrate your lack of pain Until the day we are all together.
