Hello everyone! Thank you for taking a moment to read this long post. This fundraiser is being organized by myself, Colleen Reeves. Mother to Casey, and mother in law to Christal. Casey and Christal just welcomed their new baby Collins into the world on February, 29, 2024. As we all know this should be a celebration. Baby Collins is healthy! Unfortunately there have been some complications with mama. After Christal was released that Friday, she abruptly had to return to the hospital due to sepsis. This infection has taken a toll not only on mama, but her husband Casey as well. The hospital is doing everything that they can in order to make sure that Christal is taken care of, as well as trying to figure out exactly where this infection is coming from. This has been trying as the location has yet to be found. With all of the testing, monitoring, and unknowns at the moment, a lengthy hospital stay is what is in the future. This could be up to, or more than 6 weeks. This is going to be a long hard road. Christal is stable for now, so this is good. This is taking a toll on the family, especially with a new baby. Neither Casey, nor Christal are currently working. The commute alone is long from Tumwater to Tacoma every other day for Casey. They are in desperate need of some help with gas, food, bills, any baby needs they may need in the near future, as well as when mama is ready to come home.
