Michelle has already gone through one major surgery to remove her thyroid and lymph nodes. The surgeons were not able to get all the cancer. A team of expert oncologists and surgeons reviewed her case and met with Michelle on Friday to discuss her scans and the necessary 2nd surgery to remove the rest of the cancerous lymph node that is attached to her trachea. She will have this surgery on Friday May 9 and will remain in the hospital for 3 days- over Mother’s Day. In June she will begin radiation.
