The family reached out to the church for help. This is one way for those who wish to help Lanan to do so easily by scheduling your visit, or meal. We are all new at this, so flexibility is the key. If you would like to contribute to a fund to assist Lanan, Dick Powell has set up a special memorial in memory of Robert Shelton. You can donate on line at www.redriveruu.org/donate - there is a place to designate where you wish your contribution to go.
Special Notes
PLEASE NOTE: A "VISIT" can be in person or a phone call (her cell is 903-647-5371) . We all know Lanan is diabetic and currently is not being served an appropriate diet. This hopefully will be resolved when the family speaks to the facility. It isn't our place to do so. After the family speaks with the facility, maybe someone who knows about diabetic food preparation might schedule a visit with Lanan to get an overview of what she likes and if someone prepares a meal when during the day would she like it? If you learn of a need Lanan has, let Amy or Doug know so one of us can add it to the calendar. To get things going, here is a temporary trial schedule for the next three days. PLEASE NOTE: All times are VERY flexible. Once you register with Give InKind and accept an "I'll Help" you will get an confirmation email from the system confirming your visit. IF you have to cancel, there is an option on the confirmation to do so.
