As many of you may know, my father Tom recently suffered from a stroke, while about one week later, his wife Kim suffered from a terrible fall, concussion, subdural hematoma, and craniotomy. Tom is currently back at home, while his wife Kim remains at in-patient rehab at St. Luke’s South. Tom is managing pretty well around the home and working with OT, PT, and speech therapists, but is unable to drive at this time. The primary intent of this page is to organize daily check-ins for Tom. Stop by the house, see if he needs help with anything, maybe offer him a ride to St. Luke’s South hospital, or perhaps somewhere else he needs to go. Maybe bring him a prepared meal he can heat up later (optional). If you wish, folks not local to the area may also choose to help by donating to gift cards for Uber, Instacart, or DoorDash, so we can ensure Tom is well-nourished and able to get where he needs to go. All volunteers and donations have my sincere thanks and gratitude. -Andy
Kim is starting her at-home therapy and she gets stronger every day. Kim's will hopefully get stitches removed this week!
We appreciate very much your help, continuing with our "daily check in". Neither of us can drive for awhile.
Hi Tom,
Would earlier in the day work for you next Monday 2/17? Noon to 1pm.
Our tax person only has next Monday at 4pm available. (sorry about that!)
OR, we could switch the day and do Wednesday 2/19 from 3- 4pm?
What is better for you?
