It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Don, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and veteran. After going missing on April 21st during a quick trip to the gas station, he was tragically found deceased nearby in the early morning hours of April 23rd. Don’s life changed dramatically about 20 years ago after an accident that left him permanently disabled. Since then, his devoted wife Bonnie has been his primary caregiver and sole provider, working tirelessly to support their household. On top of it all, they have also taken on the responsibility of raising two of their grandchildren. Bonnie has endured more than most—losing a child nearly seven years ago, living paycheck to paycheck, and holding her family together through hardship after hardship. Through it all, she has shown nothing but strength, resilience, and love. We’re organizing this Meal Train to help ease some of the immediate burdens on Bonnie during this incredibly difficult time. With so much to manage, even a few warm meals can make a huge difference. Additionally, if you'd like to contribute to Don's funeral expenses, anything helps. Right now, Bonnie’s only option would be to cover the costs with a credit card carrying a 28% interest rate—something we’d love to help her avoid. If you're unable to give, we completely understand.
