šŸ’•Her fight is our fight - stand with JenšŸ’•

Story

Hi, my name is Jessica and I’m creating this support page for my younger sister, Jennifer. Jen is a full-time working single mom and has recently been diagnosed with stage IV metastatic colon cancer at age 39. She began having stomach pain and was told to go to the emergency room from urgent care as they thought she was having symptoms of appendicitis. After multiple days of testing, it was confirmed there was a mass in her colon that had spread to her liver and lymph nodes. The treatment will be aggressive and intense, so we’re starting this page to help support Jen and her family in the midst of her bevy of appointments and treatments. If you are unable to make a donation, we just ask that you keep her in your thoughts, prayers or send good vibes/energy her way. Thank you so much for your love and support. *********************************************** Colorectal cancer in young adults, while still less common than in older adults, is on the rise. It's important to be aware of the symptoms and risk factors, as early detection is crucial. Symptoms may include: Rectal bleeding or blood in the stool Changes in bowel habits, such as diarrhea or constipation Abdominal pain or cramping Unexplained weight loss Fatigue Anemia Change in appetite If you notice any of these symptoms or anything out of your normal, reach out to your doctor. Do not be afraid to advocate for yourself. šŸ’•
