Meal Train for the Rust Family

Fredenburg, MN

Story

Life can change in an instant and right now - the Rust family needs our support. For the past several weeks Betsy hadn't been feeling well. On Friday, January 31, she went in for lab work, hoping for some simple answers. Instead, she received a call from her Dr. telling her to return to the hospital for a blood transfusion. She was admitted to the hospital and after further tests was diagnosed with leukemia. Betsy will remain in the hospital for the next 4-6 weeks undergoing treatment, with more to follow once she returns home. This is where we can help! We can't take away the hard stuff, but we can help with dinners, snacks for the kids and easy breakfasts so Tim can focus on the kids and Betsy can focus on healing. If you are able to help, please sign up to provide a meal. Please also share this link with anyone I may have missed!

Special Notes

To make things easier and give them the space they need, please leave your meal in the cooler located on the back deck. This way, Tim and the kids can grab it when they are ready without worrying about interruptions. Ideally, please deliver your meal by 5:30 pm. Food Allergies: None! Food Dislikes: bell peppers and mushrooms. Also egg bakes (do ANY kids like egg bakes??? lol) Things the kids like ~ Breakfast: bacon, sausage, jimmy dean type breakfast sandwiches, bagels with cream cheese, cocoa puffs, cheerios in the purple box, french toast, cinnamon waffles [Note - would need syrup and Fairlife milk if bringing cereal or french toast/bacon]. Think - easy things for the kids to grab and prepare themselves while getting ready for school. Snacks: Cut up veggies with dip, apples with peanut butter or caramel, anything nutella!, blueberry Belvita bars, grab and go packaged snacks (if your kids like it....the Rust kids will probably like it!) Dinner: fettuccine alfredo with chicken (Sawyer's fav), chicken, bacon, ranch wraps (Kennedy's fav), cheeseburers or meatloaf (Lyla's fav). The only dislikes are bell peppers and mushrooms. Other fun things --- Kennedy loves campbell chicken noodle soup (red label), Lyla loves pasta roni angel hair pasta with herbs/butter and garlic. All kids like Annie's mac & cheese cups and Annie's power mac and of course... Jacks cheese and digorno carnivore frozen pizzas.
