Hi friends! I am setting up a meal train for my postpartum care. I know how difficult the first 2 weeks are after birth and with Emmett food was the biggest help we received. Being able to just eat and sleep while I recover and care for an infant can be the most difficult part. If you want to make a homemade dinner, or if it is easier to get a gift card to door dash, all is welcomed and GREATLY appreciated :) I put in some dates in the calendar, but those are likely to change. My due date is June 12th, but I have a feeling we won't make it to that day, but who knows? I will communicate via email after I give birth and when we are returning from the hospital. I'm pretty sure I will not be up for much the first week post partum as far as visitors, but perhaps the 2nd week I will be up for saying hello and people meeting baby. We shall see!
Special Notes
We are mostly eating everything these days, but I prefer to still avoid gluten and Mitch avoids anything that is not a whole food. So you cannot go wrong with meat, fruit and veggies! We like to get organic and/or local food as much as possible. Also if you don't feel like making a meal, bringing fresh fruit and veggies and kombucha would always be welcome :) Or if you are like me and have no time to make or deliver anything, gift cards are super helpful for grocery delivery or a chipotle door dash :)
