Love for Fran, supporting the Bitzer’s

Boca Raton, FL

Story

About this Meal Train Plus page In April, Fran was diagnosed with liver cancer. A few weeks later she underwent surgery to remove 60% of her liver and her entire gall bladder. Further treatment is still being decided. As much as a terrible shock that this has been for Fran and her entire family, they are touched by the outpouring of support and love from friends. So many of you have reached out asking how you can help Fran and Russ. For now, meals would be a great support. If you would like to provide a meal, please click on the green button below to sign up for a dinner. To help minimize visitors right now, we have left a cooler outside for friends and family, so you can easily leave your meals without needing to ring the doorbell. This will help with safe, contactless delivery and support Fran’s rest and recovery. There’s a cooler for cold food and a bin for warm food. As much as Fran and Russ appreciate your support, they are not up for visitors just yet. We’ll do our best to provide updates on Fran’s progress on this page to help keep everyone informed. A few considerations: Whenever possible, please send your meal in recyclable, disposable containers (or, at the very least, containers you don’t care about getting back). This keeps Russ and Fran from having to keep track of (or mixing up) your containers. If you need your container returned, please put your name in the bottom and they’ll leave it in a labeled brown bag out front for pickup. Please include clear preparation instructions, i.e. "Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees.” Even though your meals only need to feed two adults, please consider making a bit extra for lunch leftovers. Freezable meals are also nice.
