Story
Update: June 30, 2024 Bryce has continued to recover from his surgery and most post-surgery restrictions have been lifted. Bryce began chemo on June 24. Every other Monday, he will receive chemo at St. Francis hospital in Indy. He will then continue receiving chemo through a pump attached to his port. The pump will be removed on Wednesday. He will then repeat this cycle every other week for approximately 6 months. Bryce enjoys cooking for his family and has enjoyed getting back in the kitchen as he has continued to recover from his surgery. That said, he anticipates there will be days he will not feel well enough to cook. We expect Mondays to be challenging since they will be traveling to/from St. Francis and Thursdays are likely to be his worst days in terms of side effects due to the chemo schedule. For this reason, gift cards (DoorDash, GrubHub, etc.) that allow them to pick up food or have food delivered if he unexpectedly can't cook will be most beneficial. We have set up the calendar for the Mondays and Thursdays of the weeks he is receiving chemo to help them plan (you may need to scroll down the calendar to see additional days/months). We continue to be grateful for the outpouring of support and kindness. - Nora ------ As you know, Bryce has been diagnosed with colon cancer. There are so many of you who want to help Bryce and his family during this difficult journey. After talking with Nora who's been discussing their needs with Bryce, they determined that the best help would be with meal preparation, particularly dinner. Gift cards for meals are also welcomed. For those family and friends who live too far away, this would be a great way to help the family.
