Today, my stepdad has passed after a terrible battle against liver cancer. I witnessed the strongest man I’ve ever know become so weak until it finally took him from us. I watched my mom show so much strength and resilience as she stood so strong, as cancer took her best friend. My mom is one of the strongest ppl I know as well but she’s exhausted. Right now, we are together as a family but soon we will continue on with our regular schedules. However, my mom will have a lot of adjusting to do as her best friend of 18+ years will not be here anymore. Graciously, my brother has paid for funeral expenses so that will not be a stress to her. I just worry about her finding the time to get food and wanted to set this up during her time of grieving. She is the queen of doordash so I felt like she would benefit from this.
