Love and Nourishment for Baby Hafkin & Co

Silver Spring, MD

Story

Hello, Friends and Family! My name is Dahlia and I am one of Sarah's many, many friends. I wanted to organize a meal train for Sarah because nourishment is an amazing way to show families that you care and also to be helpful during the potentially sleep-deprived parental transition. Helping Josh & Sarah with meals gives them time and space to really focus on their baby and enhance early bonding and positive attachment. Thank you deeply to each and every one of you for being a part of this family's life and being a part of their village. There are a couple food suggestions mentioned below, but truly they have no restrictions aside from avoiding heart attack meals. We are so grateful for you! LOVE LOVE LOVE, Dahlia

Special Notes

Some suggestions I loved postpartum: -large salad with salmon/chicken -convenient freezer meals (veggie/turkey chili, squash soup + bone broth, burritos etc)- packaged to not take up too much space - Premade smoothie bags (to just thaw and dump into nutribullet- love whey protein + spinach/kale + healthy fat + sweet fruits) -veggies and meats prepped for grilling/roasting -date almond balls (or any other protein ball) -dried fruit/nuts: https://nuts.com/ - egg- white spinach and cheese breakfast mini frittatas -lentil soup with a green salad - overnight protein oats -hearty nut and fruit breakfast muffins -green smoothies packed rich with avocado, spinach, oats, fruit, yum! (can be frozen in bags or brought over fresh) -a giant salad stacked with veggies, protein, and/or grain -lactation cookies for the week -easy healthy snacks (fruit/nut muffins, cut up veggies, yogurt parfait, turkey jerky, protein bars, chips and salsa/guac, hummus) - your family favorites! If you are not local, you can send delivery of foods through doordash or ubereats!
