Story
As most of you know, on June 14th, Marissa was diagnosed with breast cancer. Marissa will be starting treatment on July 7th with her first session of chemotherapy. She will be receiving chemotherapy for 16 weeks. After the 16 weeks, Marissa will then have surgery, and once her body can gain enough strength back, she will have 25 straight days of radiation therapy. If you know Marissa, you know that she is the last person on earth who deserves this terrible diagnosis. She has such an upbeat personality and positive attitude so we know that she is going to put up one hell of a fight! Marissa will be out of work for quite some time, so any type of support is greatly appreciated!
Special Notes
Marissa and her doctors have decided to start the mediterranean diet. This diet is abundant in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes and olive oil. It features fish and poultry-lean sources of protein over red meat. Marissa is able to stray from this diet as she pleases, so all types of meals are accepted and appreciated! p.s. Marissa does not like any type of nuts! p.p.s. Please leave meals/packages at Marissa's front door. She has to limit contact with others while her immune system is suppressed during treatment.
