Help My Fight Against Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma My name is Gretchen Welty. I am a 34 year-old wife, and mother of four. On August 20, 2024, I was diagnosed with Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma, after being referred to radiology following an annual wellness exam. On September 16, 2024, I was told there is reason to believe that the cancer may also be in the surrounding lymph nodes. Surgery is scheduled for October 11, 2024, with another biopsy, blood draws, and labs before then.
