He was admitted to the ER and, after a CT scan, doctors discovered a brain tumor. Surgery was performed, and the pathology results came back to show that he has stage 4 brain cancer. This has been a devastating and shocking diagnosis for the entire family, especially since he was otherwise healthy prior to the ER visit.
