This is being organized for Gail and Phillip without their knowledge - PLEASE do not share the details of this page or "train" with them. All of you are aware that Gail & Phillip's son Tyler passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday July 7th. He was only 27 years old. The reasons why are yet unknown, and we are awaiting results of an autopsy, but have been told that could take months (3+) due to the pandemic. As their daughter, I worry about them walking through this time in their life alone and I want to make sure they feel the love of their friends and family as much as possible. So what is this? If you've heard of a "meal train", this is similar. I'm calling it an "encouragement train". Gail & Phillip recently moved to the Asheville area and don't have a community of people there yet. Meals are hard to hand-deliver when you don't live in the area, so the next best thing is reaching out! Please sign up for a day (or days, if you want) to reach out to Gail and/or Phillip. You can do this however you so choose! Text, phone call, Facebook message, post on Facebook wall, mail a "thinking of you" card, send them a meal, WHATEVER you want!! The only thing that I ask is that you keep your interactions positive - please don't dwell on or make your conversation only about the passing of Tyler. I want them to be able to process and move through their grief without having to re-live the day over and over again.
