Dear Friends and Family, We hope this letter finds you well. We are writing to share an important initiative started by Heather, Martha's granddaughter, who currently lives in Tampa, Florida. Heather has created "Martha's Support Squad" as a way to bridge the gap in space and time, providing much-needed support for Martha during this challenging period. Following the passing of her beloved husband, Frank, in October 2023, Martha has become more isolated and is without daily transportation. As many of you know, we all could use more support every day, but this is especially true for our elderly loved ones. We are reaching out to encourage Martha’s family and friends to rally around her. Enclosed, you will find a calendar serving as a guide and suggestion for visits. We strongly encourage you to contact Martha directly to schedule visits, offer transportation, bring over a meal, or simply enjoy a chat on the phone. Please remember, this is Martha Travis we are talking about. She is a proud and independent woman who will often decline offers of help. Do not be discouraged. Be persistent, or better yet, just inform her of your plans to visit because you want to spend time with her. Thank you for your continued support and love for Martha.
