On August 30th abnormalities were detected on a mammogram that required further testing to include ultrasounds, 3D scans, and 3 biopsies. The findings were shocking but thankfully classified at Stage 0. The doctors recommendation was a breast excision as well as a lumpectomy to prevent any further progression. On October 10th a successful surgery was performed and pending the pathology results this would all be over but on October 22nd, one day after Amber's 42nd birthday her life would change forever. She received a breast cancer diagnosis (Invasive Ductal Carcinoma) and was in pure shock and disbelief. She felt as if a ton of bricks had been dumped on her and that she had lost control of all she had ever known. Although the diagnosis was very unexpected, shocking and unfortunate Amber is going to fight & win! The Bible says in Jeremiah 30:17 NKJV... [17] For I will restore health to you And heal you of your wounds,’ says the Lord, ‘Because they called you an outcast saying: “This is Zion; No one seeks her." Amber is standing on God's Word and her excellent team of doctors at GW Hospital are working to ensure she receives the best care possible!
