Gabrielle's Medical Journey

Berlin, MD

Story

Gabrielle is a sweet, beautiful 11 yr old girl who lives in Ocean Pines, MD with her Mom - Jenna, Dad - Gabe, big sister - Ava, and four-legged canine brother - Waylon. Over the last 4 years, Gabrielle has endured a multitude of painful kidney infections and sepsis; resulting in many long and difficult hospital stays. She has had to miss out on a lot of activities, and school; due to the hospital stays and on-going infections and pain. Yet, through it all, Gabrielle has stayed her sweet, caring, and silly self. On October 6th, Gabrielle underwent a long awaited kidney re-plant surgery. Sadly, she has struggled with many complications, and soon, she will have to endure a second surgery (date yet undetermined). This second surgery is to implant a Suprapubic catheter, and then begin biofeedback therapy immediately thereafter. Depending on the appointment schedule, they may have to stay in DC, since they live almost 3hrs away from the hospital. Biofeedback is the only hope Gabrielle has of hopefully having healthy bladder function someday. Unfortunately, biofeedback is very expensive, and unfortunately, it is also not covered by insurance. Please keep praying for Gabrielle, as she is struggling with the reality of having to undergo another surgery. And, prayers for the family; over the emotional heartache that comes with watching their daughter (and sister) go through so much, and the financial strain that comes with an ongoing medical struggle. If you are able to help in any way, please consider donating to help the Gresczyks offset the cost of travel, overnight stays, the biofeedback, and the need to take off of work to care for Gabrielle. ***If you would like to provide a meal, there are links below with available dates in the "care calendar"; as well as an Amazon Wish List for things for Gabrielle to keep comfortable and busy while she recovers. The family’s PayPal is also linked for donations for travel expenses, and other various needs as they arise. Thank you all so very much for all of your prayers, support (both financial and emotional), and surprise gifts you’ve blessed Gabrielle with!!! They are all immensely thankful!! ❤️❤️❤️ With Much Love and Appreciation, ~ Amy Bennett
