I have stage 3B triple negative breast cancer. It is grade 3 (60+% of cells under a microscope look abnormal). Mine has a 65% rate of growth meaning very aggressive (The cells are dividing rapidly and growing at a rate 65%). My CT scans were clear. It has stayed contained in my breast tissue and some lymph nodes in my R. Breast area. I start chemotherapy August 1st. I’ll start with a weekly infusion of taxol & carboplatin once a week for 12 weeks. And then I’ll get an infusion of adrimycin and cyclophosphamid once every 3 weeks. I will also be getting immunotherapy- Keytruda once every 21 days throughout the 6 months. Once Chemo is complete I will have surgery to remove both breasts and possible reconstruction at the same time. I will be on a continued regimen of Keytruda for x9 cycles (25weeks) if there is a complete response to chemo post surgery. If there is evidence of residual disease found in removal during surgery, I will then be on Keytruda and a chemo pill called xeloda for TBD amount of time. Praying for a complete response to chemo! Praying for no side effects or damage in other ways to my healthy body! Praying for negative results with my genetic testing for my kids and my ovaries sake! Praying for a successful removal and reconstruction surgery simultaneously! Praying for no re-occurrence ever again anywhere in my body and life!
